Dr. Amy K. Patel is a Board-Certified Radiologist specializing in Breast Imaging, serving as the Medical Director of The Breast Care Center at Liberty Hospital and Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine. She is a passionate advocate for women in radiology, mentorship, and health equity, serving in leadership roles with the American College of Radiology and the American Cancer Society National Breast Cancer Roundtable. Her research focuses on breast health policy, digital breast tomosynthesis, and artificial intelligence, and she has played a key role in advancing breast imaging legislation in Missouri. Recognized for her advocacy and community impact, she has received multiple awards, including the ACR Howard Fleishon MD Advocate of the Year Award and the Kansas City Medical Society’s Patient and Community Advocate Award.
